1. Sprawl II - Arcade Fire
2. Supercollider - Radiohead
3. Little by Little - RadioheadI posted this a while back, but I’m keeping it here at the top since I don’t feel enough people know it exists. Radiohead made a very nice new song called Staircase. They released it as a youtube video… a live performance for ‘From the Basement.’. Thom plays a Prophet synth once again… the gorgeous thing we heard on Everything In its Right Place. Also, Portishead’s drummer guests for double drummer duty. It’s really dope.
I finished The Wire. Calling it the best show ever is obvious. Is there a better way to put it?
‘Like Spinning Plates’ deserves more notice than it gets. It may be a top-10 Radiohead song. Also, the best backwards song ever.
Basketball is not like jazz. At all. In so many ways, they’re not similar.
‘White Noise’ is my favorite post-rock song in a few years. Post-rock has been in a regurgitative state for too long. Like film scores. ‘White Noise’ is on Mogwai’s “Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will” from this year.
I don’t plan on living in California much longer than a few more months. Oregon and Washington are too fucking beautiful.
‘Little by Little’ has been the slowest-creeping Radiohead song I can remember. By now it’s my favorite song on TKOL, and I love it. But I didn’t love any of them for a couple months.
